PROPERTIES
Toning and stimulating, it is appreciated for its invigorating scent, which brings a sensation of freshness and dynamism. It helps revive body and mind when you feel a little drained.
Traditionally used in aromatherapy for respiratory comfort, it diffuses a fresh, woody atmosphere reminiscent of mountain forests.
History
Native to Europe and Northern Asia, Scots pine grows from Spain to Siberia. It adapts well to poor soils and difficult climates such as drought or extreme cold.
This highly resinous conifer was already praised in Antiquity by Hippocrates and in the Middle Ages by Hildegard of Bingen for its benefits against lung diseases.
Origin
Siprès Scots pine essential oil comes from an organic family farm in Haute-Provence. It is obtained by distilling pine needles that grow in their natural environment, that is to say in the mountains, where the air is pure and invigorating. On this family farm, all the infrastructure needed to distil the plants on site is in place, allowing us to obtain high-quality essential oils that are fully traceable from field to distillation.
Extraction
Siprès Scots pine essential oil is obtained by low-pressure steam distillation of pine needles.
