What if the secret to soothed skin lay in the simplicity of a gesture? At Siprès, we believe in the power of gentle rituals, in the beauty of everyday gestures, and in respecting the skin in all its nuances.
Gua sha, an ancestral practice from traditional Chinese medicine, perfectly reflects our vision: stimulating circulation, relaxing facial tension and reconnecting skincare with a mindful moment of well-being.
But the vast majority of Gua Sha tools on the market are made from rose quartz, a stone mined in Brazil, Madagascar, India, Kenya… in short, not very local.
We therefore looked for a more local alternative and got in touch with Mélanie, a ceramic artist based in Brussels, to create a unique object that is beautiful, durable and respectful of the skin.
The benefits of glazed ceramic for a Gua Sha
- Soft on the skin: its smooth surface glides perfectly without snagging.
- Natural and local: handcrafted by Mélanie, in Brussels
- Naturally tempered: the ceramic remains cool to the touch, ideal for soothing redness and decongesting.
- Hygienic and easy to clean: the enamel prevents the absorption of oils and impurities.
- Each piece is unique, like each face.
Our gua sha is used with light movements, from the centre of the face outward.
Choosing a glazed ceramic gua sha means choosing a tool that is both effective, long-lasting and local.
The benefits of glazed ceramic for a Gua Sha
- Stimulates blood and lymphatic circulation: helps reduce swelling and aids in eliminating toxins
- Boosts radiance for a luminous and glowy complexion, giving you the true glass skin
- Relaxes tensions: allows for the release of muscle tension in the face.
- Smooths and tones the skin: with regular use, the features appear more relaxed, and the skin is plumped up
- Enhances the absorption of treatments and amplifies their effects: when used with our local vegetable oils, the Gua Sha helps the skin to better benefit from natural active ingredients. For a complete care moment, we recommend our French Plum Face Oil : its silky texture restores suppleness and comfort to dry, mature or dehydrated skin, while helping prevent signs of ageing. Rich and relipidating, it deeply nourishes and protects the skin.
