At Siprès, we select locally sourced, natural ingredients, grown with care — and that makes all the difference.

Not all rose waters are created equal, and the quality of a hydrosol depends directly on its origin and its distillation method.

Our organic Damask Rose Water comes from a small farm located in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, in the heart of the Verdon Regional Natural Park.

This preserved environment, between mountains and garrigue, offers an ideal climate for growing Damask roses, where the flowers express their full aromatic intensity and richness in active compounds.

A rare artisanal distillation: a 1:1 ratio for a concentrated hydrosol

L’hydrolat de rose de Damas Siprès est distillé selon le ratio 1:1 :

➡️ 1 kilo of fresh petals for 1 litre of floral water.

This demanding process guarantees an exceptional concentration of aromatic molecules.

Many producers dilute their hydrosols more heavily (sometimes using 1 kg of plants to produce up to 50 kilos of hydrosol) to increase volume and profitability, at the expense of quality. Practices vary depending on producers and market positioning.

Thanks to this artisanal steam distillation using natural spring water, our Rose Water retains the full olfactory richness and natural benefits of the flower.

Its fresh rose scent is intense, authentic and free from artificial additions.

An organic, ethical and local production

Our partner producer is a farmer-herbalist and a member of the Syndicat des Simples, a collective of growers and wild harvesters committed to quality and environmental preservation.

The plants are organically grown and hand-harvested, following the rhythm of the seasons, at 1 200 metres altitude, where pure air and Provençal sunlight reveal the most subtle essences.

Each harvest takes place at the precise moment when the plant delivers the highest concentration of active compounds.

The water used for distillation comes from a natural spring on the farm, ensuring exceptional purity.

No chemical substances are added — only the plant, the water and the expertise.

A pure floral water, alcohol-free and without controversial preservatives

Unlike most rose waters available on the market, Siprès Rose Water contains no alcohol.

Benzyl alcohol, often used as a preservative, can dry out or irritate the skin.

Any cosmetic containing water must include a preservative, in accordance with European regulations. However, we have chosen a 100 percent natural preservative derived from radish root (Leuconostoc Radish Root Ferment Filtrate), gentle and respectful of the skin microbiome.

Our organic rose floral water remains stable over time while preserving its purity and effectiveness.

The benefits of Damask Rose Water for the skin

Rich in antioxidants, Damask rose floral water is known for its properties:

  • 🌸 Firming: it tones the skin and improves firmness.
  • 🌼 Radiance: it brightens and evens out the complexion.
  • 💦 Soothing: it calms redness and tightness.

Suitable for all skin types, even the most sensitive, it can be used morning and evening as a toner, hydrating mist or skincare base.
